“Jeeves and the Stand-in for Sippy” is the second episode of the final series of The World of Wooster, and was adapted by Michael Mills. It is considered lost.

Some location shots were done in Edinburgh.


Synopsis


“One of Bertie's friends is jailed for knocking off a police-man's helmet. Relatives in Edinburgh want to see him, so Bertie agrees to stand in for him. Bertie duly arrives over the border and immediately becomes involved with a girl. It is left to Jeeves, as usual, to get Bertie out of the mire.”

An adaptation of “Without the Option”. Bertie and his friend Sippy end up in the dock after a brush with the law following a night of revelry. While Bertie escapes with a fine, Sippy is sent to jail, making him unable to attend a promised visit to Edinburgh. It is decided that Bertie should stand in for him, kilt and all.
